On August 2, 2025, a team from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), RUET, participated in the first-ever OSH Research Conference 2025 held at the National Occupational Safety and Health Training and Research Institute (NOSHTRI), Rajshahi. The event, themed "Safe Work, Sustainable Future: Bridging Research & Practice in OSH", was organized by the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE) with support from the ILO under the Advancing Decent Work in Bangladesh project.
The EEE team was led by Prof. Dr. Md. Masud Rana, Head of the Department, along with Dr. Abdul Matin and Asif Zaman Rizve, accompanied by several undergraduate students. They attended as official representatives of RUET, highlighting the university’s growing engagement in research-driven industrial safety and labour rights. Prof. Dr. Masud Rana also held fruitful discussions with ILO regional officers and key government officials about future collaboration opportunities and the role of engineering education in workplace safety.
